Host small-scale servers: Yes, it is possible to host a server at home with 100 Mbps internet. In our previous article I have mentioned about it. Although it is not fast enough for a dedicated server rack which we buy online but you can host small applications and run small-scale services online.
Note that you’ll require static IP address for such things, without static IP address and unlocked ports (ex. 53 for DNS, 80 for HTTP, 443 for HTTPS, etc.) it won’t be possible to host a server.
Please ask your ISP for this and bear in mind that this will be billed too, in my case cost of static IP is just ₹200+GST a month (₹2,000+GST for 12 months) for single static IP address.
